At first Papa couldn’t really get the hang of it, he'd sit on them and one would slip out from under him and start to roll away, “Oh deary me” he would say and with his wing he would gently push the egg back under, when no sooner had he done this, another egg would roll away from him!. “This is harder than I thought” he said to himself.

for Mama to eat, stay strong, healthy and ready for the enormous task of laying her eggs.

Then early on a bright Monday morning, just after dawn, there laid 3 eggs. Mama and Papa were so happy, it was their first egg-lets. Papa was as proud as punch, shuffling the eggs around, “My children” he thought to himself, and for a split second he had thought out every moment he would spend in their lives, teaching them how to fly, find food, finding the right spot to live and building a strong nest.
